About Me
1971 was my year zero. That was when I first became aware of The Rolling Stones. From beneath the bed covers 'Brown Sugar' blasted its way out of my transistor radio while listening to Radio Luxembourg. Keith had chopped his way into my life.

When I saw pictures of the Stones, they looked as incredible as they sounded. And the one that stood out was Keith. In photographs he was often in the background, a look of disinterest upon his face that only added to the allure and mystique. Quite independently, I had fallen in love with the Rhythm & Blues of Memphis and Detroit. Maybe that's why the Stones struck such a strong chord. Together while discovering their earlier sounds they took me on a journey via Chicago and the Delta, widening and stretching my musical horizons that continues to this day. As Keith explains "We all come from Africa. That's why people respond to certain rhythms, pulses and tones. They can't do nothing about it. We're all from Africa, 'cept some of us left and turned white. it doesn't matter where you were born, or who you think you are. You're fucking African."

My first time experience of seeing Keith onstage was during 1976, first at Earls Court, London then in the August at Knebworth. The concerts and albums have continued ever since. It was during The Rolling Stones' European Tour of 2006 that I was fortunate enough to meet Keith. Those five minutes of kindness have been my inspiration to create this website in his honour. Despite all the predictions of imminent demise, the human riff has extinguished, side-stepped and crushed all manner of obstacles, emerging stronger, more popular and more vibrant than ever before. This then, is the 'World Of Keith Richards'.
